Friendly Manitoba

Hey everyone:

I know it has been a while since the last time I posted something.
Well, I think life started to settle down bit by bit after almost four months moving to this place. Well, what more can I say. I better not go to the negative side and I should really put an effort to try to fit into this place.

Well, so how's everyone doing? I hope there's still people checking out this blog. Well, I will try to post as often as I could. I will find time or hopefully I'll win some money to buy a new computer so I can do email more.

Take care guys!

Here I am in Canada

Hey everyone, you must be curious how I am doing here. Well, first of all this place is very cold and it's really warm to the local people here. I just sent my parents away to Vancouver and they should be home in another two days. I dont think they like Canada or I should say Austin too much but they sure will be happy to be back. I cant really post a picture here since I havent taken any pictures of me or Max. I havent even got my own computer yet so for a long period of time I think I'll have to post my blog without any pictures and if any of you are kind enough that wants to give me any comment you have to write in English too.
Didn't do much in the past two weeks and hopefully something interesting will happen later.
Talk to you all again.

Hard to say goodbye ma?

Now I finally know why Amber (the school director in Chung Chen) said that I occupied
the space that is enough for five teachers. I tried very hard to clean everything and threw away as much stuff as I could and yet I just couldnt manage to do a good job. I've only got Saturday now and hopefully I will be able to clean up everything.
Max is going to be eight months now. He can wave to people, I dont think he knows what he's doing but it's cute. He can count 1 to 5, sort of, becuz that's the trick my mom likes to teach him about. We also notice that he uses his left hand more than his right one. Maybe he is a left-handed kid which is fine with me. I dont think it matters that much really!
Said goodbye to two of my classes. I tried not to show much feelings becuz I want to stay with them and watch them grow as badly as they want me to stay around. Maybe it's good to teach them the life-time lesson first, I mean being apart with friends or family. One day they'll have to face that too. Only I am not gone forever, there are still chances for me to come back. I hope they can all learn well and continue their learning here becuz they kiss ass.

A mean teacher I am!!

I had to sub this class for two weeks. Finished today which is a big relief. Sometimes I think it's a pity that most of the students dont know why they are there learning English and where they're heading with their English ability. It just pisses me off when the students in the class I subbed thought that they could get away with showing up without doing their homework. All my own students know that's the last thing I would allow them to do and which means my students wont dare to do that. Even when they do show up without their homework, they know excatly what to do (staying after class and redo the homework again before they can go home). I mean simple as that how can you not understand. So I punished the students today when I showed up in that class trying to collect homework. Their attitude piss me off a lot and I made them stay over than one hour to finish their homework. It's maybe really not my business. I mean, that's not even my class but I hate to see people like that doing things or dealing with their teacher with no respect. Too bad, I told them and I gave them a furious look and a lecture about they shouldn't waste their intelligences. I hope even they wont learn the lesson this time, they will at least remember how mean the teacher I was.

Geez..... how big is my face in that picture. That was when Max is five weeks old and when the mommy is still puffy!

Packing sucks

If any of you have a chance to come and take at look in my room, you will be amazed how a little room can be jammed with some much stuff. Literally, it seemed like there was a nuclear bomb went off or something.
So I went to this big superstore to go for my last grocery shopping before I leave and there I was, standing in front of the door with four huge bags full of stuff and had to call my friend to come and rescue me to take some bags home for me. Spent almost seven thousand and people that know me well would tell you how much I love Taiwanese snacks and swear to God I didnt even get that much. So now I have a new problem... how do I pack all those stuff in bags and take them home neh???
Guess I will have to mail something, at least one or two packages of stuff. More money need to be spent... bravo!!
